This photo was taken at 11:32:27 AM on September 22, 2023 near Marquette, Michigan. Mushrooms are one of my favorite things to photograph, compared to other plants and living organisms fungi are incredibly unique and strange. Their bright colors and unique shapes contrast with the environment around them. I especially enjoy capturing their gills whenever possible, the delicate, perfectly straight lines are one of the most intricate parts of a mushroom.

This photo was taken at a friend’s family’s property, most of the area is forest with plenty of large rocks and stumps with plenty of perfect habitats for mushrooms.
