This photo was taken at 11:54:46 AM on July 22, 2023 at Bonanza Falls near Ontonagon, Michigan. 2023 was the first year we visited this waterfall and it is most definitely a location I will be visiting again, the falls is spread over a large section of the river with many shelves of rock sticking out from the water. This is one of the more unique falls I have visited due to how shallow and broken up the river is.

This photo and the others in the Ontonagon – Mi category document an annual trip taken to a cabin west of Ontonagon with the same three friends I’ve been close with since my freshman year of high school. This photo was taken on the second year of this tradition. The cabin is owned by one of those friend’s family, some of which grew up in the area. Despite the cabin being located across a highway from the shore, there is still access to lakeshore of Superior through an abandoned property across the highway from the cabin. This makes the shore hardly a five minute walk from the cabin and allows for many trips to the beach and a perfect bonfire location. This trip is a tradition which we hope to continue for as many years as we all can.
