This photo was taken at 5:40:25 PM on June 9, 2024 along the shore of Lake Superior at Sugarloaf Cove on the north shore of Minnesota. This little nature center and hiking trail around a cove is a spot I have stopped at plenty of times driving along the north shore on road trips. Its a calm, protected cove, perfect for searching for agates and other interesting rocks. The beach also provides a gorgeous view of the shoreline receding into the horizon.

I have always enjoyed scouring beaches looking for rocks, but this find is one of the more interesting rocks I’ve ever found, it looks like a nearly perfect yin-yang symbol.
