This photo was taken at 9:54:33 PM on September 24, 2023 at Little Presque Isle on the shore of Lake Superior near Marquette, Michigan. Though the aurora was fairly weak and was hardly visible through the clouds with the naked eye, it was visible on camera through long exposure. The resulting photo is soft and a bit dreamlike.
